How it started...

It all began with an idea. In this case a drawing; to be more specific a drawing on the back of an envelope!

But isn’t that where the best ideas start…

Our Approach

The Business Model expands on the concept of a Stockvel – an invitation-only club of twelve or more people serving as rotating credit unions or saving scheme where members contribute money to a central fund on a frequent basis.

How it works

A state-of-the art Modular Water Filtration System is installed and the community contributes to each litre of water that it consumes.

With the following desired outcomes:

•   Improved access to clean drinking water within communities that lack access to safe drinking water at home.

•   Create sustainable income that can be reinvested in other upliftment projects that benefit the community and surrounding areas.

•   A Community Trust consisting of elected members within the community (Transparency and Accountability).

•   Create empowerment within the communities using the provision of clean water as the catalyst.

•   Through the implementation of a Cashless payment mechanism there is transparent data on the water usage income as well as on where the money has been invested which the community will be able to access to invest in other community initiatives. There will be full transparency that will allow the community as well as its shareholders to hold their elected leaders accountable.
